A volunteer run not-for-profit committed to supporting the growth and sustainability of WA’s games industry.
As the peak body for the games industry in Western Australia, WAGIC raises the profile of local developers through education, advocacy and community engagement. We provide feedback to government and industry stakeholders based on our community’s needs as it grows and adapts to a rapidly changing industry.
Our activities include organising events, workshops and forums that foster industry development and collaboration across the games community.
About
Originally formed in 2009 as a group for local game developers to connect and share their passion for games under the name Let’s Make Games (LMG), WAGIC became incorporated as a not-for-profit association in 2011. After more than 14 years of uniting the WA games industry through community-focused events, the association entered a new chapter under new leadership and a new name.
The WA Games Industry Council is Western Australia’s representative body for video game developers and people working across games and game-adjacent industries. By supporting local studios and developers while informing institutional and government decisions affecting the industry, WAGIC represents a vital part of a global sector that has grown steadily over recent decades.
